Bush Deficit vs. Obama Deficit in Pictures

True, the distribution has been somewhat changed–Obama’s deficits have run smaller on the front end and larger on the back end, but he’s managed to run up nearly $4.8 trillion in UNBUDGETED deficits over the last 3 1/2 years, MORE than even the CBO projections in 2009.  The fact that Democrats want nothing to do with the budget process this year belies their promises to spend more wisely.  As the reality of the 2012 election sinks in, I would expect that spending will increase even faster, and we’ll outspend even the recent raising of the debt ceiling by another $1.2 trillion just the other day, as they try to feather their nests for the coming drought–when Republicans likely win both houses of Congress and the White House.  There should be legislation to claw back this raiding of the national treasury by the Democratic Party, but based on the feckless leadership of the Republican Party, I doubt any will be forthcoming.

I don’t think we can afford to engage in an insurgency candidacy this election cycle, but I think the Tea Party and other conservative organizations need to band together to start overthrowing the Republican establishment.  We will accomplish nothing in regard to reforming major aspects of the government with the current Republican leadership.  Paul Ryan had the right idea and the Tea Party caucus needs to solidify and expand our influence so we can control the message and frame the debate.

OF course, Obama’s barb was meant as a barb at Fox News in general because it doesn’t haul his water for him.  However, we now have evidence that ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, the NYT, the LAT, and the WAPO all really ARE mouthpieces for this administration.  Today, though you may not know it, the entire upper echelon of the Obama Justice Department was subpoenaed in the Operation Gun Walker, Gun Runner, and Fast and Furious investigations.  Not a word of the subpoenas was mentioned in any of the so-called “Mainstream Media.”  Now please–let’s be honest–had this been John Ashcroft’s Justice Department under George W. Bush, this would have been hammered every 15 minutes on the broadcast outlets mentioned and headlined the newspapers for weeks!  But “Move along…nothing to see here” seems to be the press’ response to anything that might prove embarrassing for this President.’

The press during this time in our history will go down as having been co-opted by the Democratic Party.  Not unwittingly–but willingly.  It will be excoriated for having been complicit in the crimes of this administration and I hope the next administration has the intestinal fortitude to prosecute these editors and reporters who are accomplices in this criminal activity.

“Let me be clear”–Listen to me now and forget everything I’ve said or done before

Fair–a concept that requires that all people produce as much as they possibly can for the sole reason of donating it to the poor saps who don’t know how (or just refuse) to produce much of anything.

Bankers–a catchall term for anyone who has made it big in private life in America. Used as a pejorative to demonize wealth and success in America.

Corporations–any for-profit entity that doesn’t support the Democratic Party. Differs from “companies” like Goldman-Sachs, GE, and other big Democratic donors

Anarchists–radical Democrats who don the mantle in order to try to divert embarrassment from the Party. American anarchist groups’ demands generally read like the talking points from Democrat missives. Gun control, nationalized health care, abortion funding/access all figure prominently in their literature.

SEIU–the Service Employees International Union. Used to provide muscle at Democratic functions. Often seen physically removing anyone who asks an embarrassing or difficult question of a politician from the Democratic Party.

Tea Party–a group of Americans who think the government should spend within its means and live within a budget like the people it allegedly “serves” have to. Often used as a term of derision for anyone who proposes smaller government and an end to profligate borrowing and spending.

T-bagger–a term of derision derived from a gay slur used to deride members of the Tea Party. It’s original meaning referred to a gay man who would put another’s scrotum in his mouth. Of course, in keeping with their maturity level, those on the left, including Bill Maher, Janeane Garafalo, and countless other entertainers and politicians have found this endlessly humorous.
